One-Time Tasks

Pandora's Tale Wiki Milestone

Completing all of these tasks is a necessary condition for the next major milestone for the wiki.

Write biographies for all major characters

• Write "Before Pandora's Box" sections. : Done unless a later chapter results in a new major character
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Pandora
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Isabelle
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Con
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Hemmel : Done through chapter 11
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Natalya
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Noor : Done through chapter 11
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Veronica : Done through chapter 11
• Write "After Pandora's Box" for Zero

Other One-Time Tasks

• Make an article for the cast page.
• Consider adding a "personality" section to each major character article. Typically, I try to avoid giving my own analysis or interpretations about the comic. Can I do a personality section without putting my opinions in? Should I include a disclaimer like the "analysis" sections of Fire Emblem Wiki's character articles?

• Make an article for Pandora's Box.
• Relicense wiki content.
• Port the wiki away from MediaWiki (see "Texts About Pandora" below).
• Make the data in the table on The Resistance article automatically filterable.
• Mirror the wiki to other smalnet protocols.
• Make city infoboxes
• Make sector infoboxes
• Add a template or infobox entry to metafictional character articles.
• Write a script which checks for citations appearing before punctuation and fixes them.
• Consider making PTW part of the semantic web.

Project: Semantic Pandora

• Upgrade the tarot script to output links to each character article.
• Upgrade the tarot script to output the date each tarot card was released.
• Decide whether to make PTW Scripts public.
• Make a search feature for the geminispace version of the wiki.
• Give all logged-in users write access by default, to allow non-programmers to make edits more easily. This can only happen once I understand how to reliably delete edits containing information that shouldn't be in the wiki history.
• Improve screenreader accessibility (compared to the completion of Project: Texts About Pandora).
• Make it possible to follow the blog through an atom feed over gemini.
• Make a gemini-compatible atom feed for commits to the wiki trunk.
• Make the home page less visually cluttered.

Add orientation fields to the character infobox tables.

• Add a sexual orientation data value.
• Add a romantic orientation data value.
• Fill out the orientation fields for all characters.

Texts About Pandora

The following tasks are necessary to complete Project: Texts About Pandora. All of them are part of Milestone 4.

• Make it so visitors on the web can search the wiki without needing to clone the repository.
• Add an "edit this page" link to the bottom of every article pointing to the git repository.
• Make tables accessible to users with screenreaders (they must not be any worse than in the MediaWiki version).
• Manually check every page for formatting errors, making use of the W3C's link-checker.

Ongoing Tasks

The following tasks are things that will require an ongoing effort:

• Overhaul articles and sections in need of expansion. (Search for "Needs Expansion" template).
• Add links from dead-end pages.
• Add links to orphaned pages.
• Re-optimize images if a new encoder is released, or if a new format becomes widely supported. Currently, I got the best results from libwebp 1.5.0 (2024-12-20).
